Rider questioned reason he restrained mount at start - stated intention was to trail MAKES YOU THINK throughout, which had drawn to his inside, hoping that runner would settle outside the leader MEET MR TAYLOR. Added when ONE STRYKE crossed MAKES YOU THINK near 800m this resulted in him settling at rear of the field, albeit only three lengths from leading division. Further added able to improve into the race from 600m and was mindful to maintain cover until straightening as his mount was inclined to lay out at previous start when exposed rounding home turn.
