When questioned regarding the horse’s improved performance, trainer G. Heinrich explained that the horse was slow to begin at its first start and then had a torrid run and failed to finish the race off and was subsequently sent for a spell and was gelded. She added that in the lead up to today’s event the gelding had worked well and had won a recent barrier trial at Beaudesert and she expected a forward showing today.
