Began very awkwardly and shifted in, making heavy contact with NINEONEONE. Raced four wide without cover after passing the 900m. When asked to explain the gelding’s performance, J. Byrne stated that after beginning very awkwardly and receiving severe interference on multiple occasions in the first 200m, the gelding was reluctant to travel from that point on and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
