Rider C. Taylor reported that the gelding resented the kickback in the early and middle stages. When questioned, jockey Taylor advised that he elected to shift wider on the track passing the 300m as in his opinion the surface was better in that section. Trainer J. Pritchard advised stewards that she may experiment with some gear changes prior to the gelding’s next start.

Bumped by ROMAN AUREUS when racing in restricted room passing the 800m, made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced. Bumped by BELROCOS BABE passing the 600m and became unbalanced. After passing the 500m, whilst racing greenly, hung out and became awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer W. Stephens was advised that a warning would be placed against the filly for its racing manners.
