Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Disappointed for a run to the outside of PICKA PLUM and to the inside of STARDOME approaching the 450m and was momentarily held up until approaching the 350m.

Nothdurft stated that he was not overly disappointed with the run, however, when the field sprinted in the middle stages his mount was unable to quicken with the 59kg and ran home moderately. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Apprentice B. Nothdurft was reprimanded for excessive use of the whip prior to the 100m.
