Rider questioned re tactics, particularly approaching the 1800m. He said he had been instructed to ride the gelding off the fence, and passing the winning post on the first occasion he elected to shift out and race to the outside of COLLATERAL, however, COLLATERAL then shifted out, forcing him 3 wide from the 1600m, and he raced three wide thereafter. Trainer M. Wilson expressed some disappointment in jockey Fradd's ride in that after being caught wide in the early stages he would have expected him to ride forward and take up a position closer than being forced to race in a 3 wide position.
