Questioned re performance - jockey stated that rather than be caught wide in early stages he elected to restrain towards the rear of the field and when the tempo was slow in the middle stages, did not suit the gelding, however over the final 200m he was disappointed in its finishing effort. Post race vet exam failed to reveal any abnormalities.
