J. Byrne was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted on the gelding. He explained that he had no specific instructions and after jumping well from his wide alley he elected to steady his mount to find cover as he believed he did not have the pace to race in a handy position. He added that the gelding laid out throughout the event and did not handle the track conditions today.
