The veterinary surgeon reported that he was concerned with the horse’s action on leaving the enclosure, however on arrival at the barriers he passed the gelding fit to race. Had to be steadied away from heels near the 1300m.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings apart from a laceration inside the off fore cannon. Mr Edmonds was advised that if there was anything amiss with the mare on return to his stables he should inform stewards otherwise the mare will have to trial.
