Gallagher regarding the reaon for him leaving a trailing position behind WU GOK when the tempo of the race was reasonable and shifting three wide around the heels of KUBIS near the 1400m and allowing his mount to stride forward to race outside WU GOK. Apprentice Gallagher stated that he has ridden the horse consistently in the past and he was instructed to apply pressure to the leaders from the 800m. Weakened badly from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Subsequently trainer K. Schweida reported that upon return to the stable the horse underwent an endoscopic examination with a clear result, however the veterinary surgeon explained that the mare had the thumps.
