Rider stated after being wide early attempted to obtain cover but unable to do so and it then hung outwards abruptly near the 800m and proved difficult to control and as such eased it out of race. Stated at previous runs able to obtain cover and believed that racing on outside on this occasion may have contributed to the gelding hanging outwards. Trainer advised gelding had shown tendencies to be field shy previously and with no cover outside may have contributed to it hanging outwards. Vetted - sore off fore fetlock.
