Commenced to pull hard with the slow pace near the 1200m and as a result had to be checked outwards after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of GUNTANTES and this resulted in DAWSON DELIGHT being carried outwards and RED BLOOM, which was following, having to be checked outwards away from the heels of DAWSON DELIGHT. As a result of this incident jockey R. Stewart dropped his whip.
