Stewart stated that the horse travelled well initially, however, when placed under pressure from the 700m failed to respond and disappointed. Trainer C. Waller’s stable representative, Mr P. Shailer, said the stable was extremely disappointed with the run and as such the gelding would now be spelled. Mr Shailer undertook to advise stewards should anything come to light post-race in regards to the gelding.
