On return to scale a protest was lodged by J Orman, rider of second placegetter KENNY BOY against first past the post MISS GOT (L Tarrant), alleging interference near the 100 metres. After taking evidence from connections of both runners and viewing the patrol footage, Stewards found that at a point leaving the 100 metres MISS GO shifted out under pressure bumping KENNY BOY which resulted in that runner being taken off its line. Bearing in mind the short half head margin and the manner which KENNY BOY was finishing the race off the protest was upheld. L Tarrant, rider of MISS GOT, was advised
