When questioned as to the tactics adopted, Jockey J Missen stated that from the awkward barrier today the intention was to obtain cover towards the rear of the field as the filly had over-raced when ridden forward at its first 2 race starts. Jockey Missen noted that the filly had raced in a similar pattern at its last start and today travelled comfortably at the rear of the field before shifting wider upon straightening to finish the race off well.

When questioned as to the tactics adopted when leading today, Jockey M Hellyer stated that he was instructed to urge the filly forward in the early stages as it had been slow to muster speed at its last 2 starts. Jockey Hellyer added that due to the slow speed in the early stages and a step up in distance today he was able to comply with his instructions. Trainer P Balzen was reminded of his obligations to advise stewards of any intended change in tactics.
