Leaving the 900m bumped by FAVOURED GRACE. For a short distance thereafter inclined to lay in across the heels of FAVOURED GRACE. Passing the 500m eased when placed in restricted room and then held up rounding the home turn. Hung in under pressure in the home straight.

Near the 100m the rider was obliged to stop riding when placed in restricted room for a short distance to the inside of BIG MAMA.

Questioned re performance, Jockey stated mare over-raced in early stages as a result of BIG MAMA racing strongly to his outside. Passing 1600m when BIG MAMA pressed forward of him that horse made contact with his mount resulting in it continuing to over-race for some distance. Thought mare was galloped on rounding home turn. Whilst disappointed in performance, mare’s racing manners had a detrimental effect on its performance. Post-race vet - no abs.
