Bumped at start. Commenced to overrace near 1500m refusing to settle when restrained resulting racing 3 wide without cover for majority. Questioned tactics adopted - stated after gelding commenced to overrace approaching 1500m forced to shift out racing wide rounding first turn then continued to overrace fiercely and reluctant to settle when restrained. Stated mindful of instructions not to be in a leading position and attempted to restrain to obtain position with cover however when runners to inside improved to inside unable to obtain cover and remained 3 wide.

Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide early and middle stages before obtaining cover near 1100m. Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated gelding reluctant to jump away and as a result lost ground at start. Added after racing wide early and middle stages was unable to obtain cover in a trailing position near 1100m. Further added gelding travelled fairly approaching home turn however, when asked for effort failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. Vetted - slower than normal recovery rate.

Shifted out and bumped AHMAH STAR at the start. Bumped on a number of occasions shortly after. Vetted - bled both nostrils. 3 month ban and 1000m gallop.
