Eased out of the event after the 800m and failed to finish. Jockey L Rolls stated that the gelding felt uncoordinated in its action in the early stages and as he was concerned for its welfare he retired the gelding from the event. Vet exam - no abnormalities. Trainer M Caltabiano stated the horse was disappointing at its previous start and after today’s performance he would be sending it for an immediate spell. Mr Caltabiano was advised the horse was required to perform competitively in official barrier trial before racing again.
