Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated was intention to take up a forward position where the gelding failed to show any speed in the early stages despite his urgings. Added gelding commenced to weaken from 600m and again despite his urgings failed to finish the race off and proved most disappointing. Vetted - mild heat stress. Trainer advised barrier trial.
