When questioned regarding the performance, Trainer G Stockdale expressed his view that at its first run for him some 5 months ago, the 1200m may have been a little bit too far for the gelding on that occasion. He also stated that the gelding is an excitable horse and has trialled and worked well prior to today’s event which in his opinion was over a more suitable distance today and he expected the horse to perform competitively.
