When questioned as to the seemingly improved performance Trainer T McCarthy stated that in his opinion the mare had performed well in its first two races over unsuitable distances this preparation. Mr McCarthy added that the mare appreciated the step up in distance today and noted that it had been racing over further distances towards the end of its previous preparation.
