Rider questioned re performance - noted gelding was up in distance today and in his opinion failed to run out todays 1800m. Trainer stated gelding may not have been suited by slow tempo in middle stages after rider allowed SIDETRIP to cross forward to lead passing 1000m. Noted 2 starts ago gelding failed to run on strongly in a similar run race over 1400m. Considered gelding may have been better suited remaining in lead where it could have dictated terms and for this reason he was undecided if it was suited over similar distances to today's event.
