Rider questioned re performance - stated geldingnot affected by incident prior to start, travelled comfortably in handy position with cover middle stages. However, when asked to improve to inside of FAMOUS GROUSE upon straightening failed to quicken as expected and in her opinion was disappointing and gelding may not have appreciated todays firm surface. Trainer expressed disappointment and indicated would monitor recovery. Vetted - no abnormalities and a routine swab sample taken.
