After leaving the 1400m commenced to race keenly and as a result was allowed to improve to a position outside the leader near the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore leg.Trainer J Perry was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness must be obtained before the geldings next race start.
