Leaving the 1000m became awkward of its own accord and made contact with the running rail and lost ground. Mindful that a similar incident occurred 2 starts prior which resulted in the rider on that occasion being dislodged, Stewards will advise Trainer M Costa that a specialist veterinary report regarding the geldings vision will be required. Upon receipt of that report Stewards will then give consideration as to what further embargos may be required.

Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer B Smith was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required.
