Laid in under pressure over the final 150m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have been galloped on with lacerations to the near hind leg. The filly was treated on course by the veterinary surgeon to travel home.

Passing the 600m had to be checked when tightened for room by MISS NASTY which was taken in by DIARIST which laid in initially away from LIGREB and then further tightened. Jockey J Woodhouse (LIGREB) was reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. Hung out approaching the home turn and raced greenly and got its head up.

Passing the 600m improved onto heels and had to be restrained. Raced greenly in the home straight.

Shortly after the start, the gelding hung in quite badly causing SASSY STYLE to be severely hampered and SHOWS PRIDE to be inconvenienced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery, however, Trainer K Schweida was advised that the gelding would need to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
