Co-trainer questioned re improved performance - stated gelding had worked well with addition of a tongue tie following last start, which he attributed to today’s performance. Also noted was intention to have gelding lead last start but it was unable to muster the necessary speed in the early stages despite the efforts of its rider.

Rider questioned re performance - stated gelding raced flat and failed to respond to his riding leaving 300m and proved disappointing. Stable foreman unable to explain and undertook to report any abnormalities that may come to light to explain the performance. Vetted - no significant findings.
