Began awkwardly, shifted out and lost ground before mustering speed and pressing forward. When asked to comment on the below market expectation, Jockey D. Griffin stated that the filly travelled very well into the straight, however, when placed under heavy pressure failed to respond and proved very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination determined the filly was shin sore. Trainer B. Lockwood indicated his intention to immediately spell the filly. A swab sample was taken.
