Chau reported at scale that after obtaining a position with cover in the early stages, he then received slight interference and as a result the mare over-raced badly and proved difficult to settle. He added that at a point leaving the 800m, he was obliged to shift out to avoid heels and as a consequence raced wide without cover for the reminder of the event.

Began awkwardly. After travelling a short distance after the start when being restrained to obtain cover, commenced to over-race and shifted in making contact with the hindquarters of REEF BUG. As a result REEF BUG shifted out forcing REAL ELUSIVE out across the heels of OUR GRACIOUS DANE and had to be checked by its rider and as a consequence was obliged to race wide without cover for the remainder of the event.
