When questioned into the performance today and noting it was the gelding’s second run back from a spell, rider S. Galloway stated the horse never travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages of the race and failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure leaving the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
