Rdr reported the gelding travelled well until asked for an effort on straightening, failed to respond and gave ground from the 200m. Cast the near hind plate in running. A post-race vet exam revealed cardiac arrythmia. Vet clearance, inclusive of an ECG exam, required prior to galloping or trialling 1000m in the presence of Stewards. Tnr advised gelding would be spelled.
