App.S. Fawke, rider of DON'T DENY US, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding, in that between the 900m and 800m he failed to take sufficient measures to prevent his mount from shifting in, causing crowding to runners inside, being LAKOTA STOUX and THE DARK PASSENGER, causing THE DARK PASSENGER to be taken in towards the rail across BUCKIN THE BLUES, which was checked. S. Fawke was suspended from riding in races for a period of 9 days, to commence at midnight, 7 February and expiring midnight, 16 February. Had difficulty securing clear running for a major part of the straight.
