Difficult to load, warning placed on barrier manners. Jumped out at start, bumped hind quarters, steadied from heels. When asked to improve its position leaving the 500m, raced greenly and shifted out abruptly, making contact with another runner, then raced greenly for a short distance. When questioned regarding the horse's performance, rider said once placed under pressure in the straight the horse made some ground before commencing to hang in, proving difficult to ride out over the final stages. He thought the horse would perform better when stepped up over further than today's event.
