Hampered shortly after the start. Raced wide in the early stages until being restrained to obtain a position at the rear of the field with cover. When asked to comment on the performance, jockey S. Bogenhuber explained that after being caught wide and having to restrain to take up a position with cover at the rear of the field the filly was unable to race in its customary position and she felt that this, along with today's prevailing track conditions, contributed to the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Apprentice J. Hodge reported at scale that his mount was inclined to hang out rounding the first turn, and then raced ungenerously for the remainder of the event. Leaving the 700m commenced to weaken badly and finished tailed off. Stewards advised trainer R. Drysdale that the gelding would be barred from provincial meetings until it establishes country form.

Proved difficult to load. Slow to begin. Commenced to weaken from the 700m and finished tailed off. Trainer's representative Mr A. Bruggerman was advised by stewards that as a result of today's performance the gelding would be barred from provincial meetings until it establishes country form. Lost its off fore plate in running.
