Commenced to overrace when attempting to obtain cover approaching the 900m and proved difficult to restrain. Commenced to weaken shortly after straightening and finished last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse was exhibiting an abnormal respiratory noise. Trainer R. Heathcote was advised that a veterinary clearance and the results of an endoscopic examination of the horse must be produced prior to it racing again. Mr Heathcotes stable representative advised that it would be recommended to connections that the gelding be retired from racing.
