As the horse had not raced for more than 12 months, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Trainer T. Cotsiopoulos pleaded guilty to a charge under AR. 140(a)(ii)(a) in that she failed to notify stewards by the prescribed time that the horse had undergone surgery to remove bone chips from both knees, which treatment may have affected or impacted on the horse’s performance in a race. Ms Cotsiopoulos was fined $200.
