Became fractious in the mounting yard and upon arriving at the barriers, and broke through its tongue-tie. As this gear was unable to be refitted, Stewards permitted the gelding to race without this gear. Proved difficult to load. Trainer Mr. J. Gregory was advised that the gelding must barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
