Raced greenly after obtaining the lead approaching the winning post on the first occasion and laid out passing the 1700m. After leading for the majority of the event commenced to weaken after passing the 600m and finished tailed off. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the horse had mild dehydration and poor post-race recovery. Trainer M. Dunn was advised that in light of today’s performance the gelding would be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the horse racing again.
