Slow to begin. Trainer K. Schweida advised that in light of today’s performance he would recommend to connections that the horse be sent for a spell. Mr Schweida undertook to notify stewards should anything come to light in the ensuing days which may have had an effect on the performance.

When questioned as to the poor performance, trainer T. Miller noted that the mare was first up from a spell today and would be stepped up in distance at its next start. Mr Miller was advised that similar performances in future may result in an embargo being placed over the mare for being uncompetitive. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
