After being fractious in the barriers, reared as the start was effected, made contact with the overhead partition and lost considerable ground. Commenced to overrace when in a rearward position approaching the 850m and was shifted three wide to improve and obtained a position three wide outside the lead passing the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Trainer K. Geran was advised that a warning would be placed against the gelding for its racing manners.
