As the gelding has not raced for over 12 months, it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Raced keenly passing the 1900m and had to be restrained from the heels of INFLUENCER, and then shifted out hampering GAMMA. Weakened after passing the 800m and finished a distant last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be exhibiting a poor post-race recovery, however no other abnormalities were detected.
