Approaching the 800 metres when the pace steadied became awkwardly placed at the heels of KAIBERRY. Passing the 600 metres was again restrained from the heels of KAIBERRT. Rider L Tilley reported the gelding was inclined to race greenly at various stages of the event and in his opinion would derive benefit from the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
