Began awkwardly and shifted out. After racing in the lead for the majority of the race, commenced to weaken rounding the home turn and finished at the tail of the field. Rider advised the gelding, although stepping up in distance and missing a recent run, proved disappointing in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
