When afforded the opportunity to comment on the horse’s performance, jockey G. Goold stated that it was his intention to lead, however the gelding failed to show the necessary speed and as a result near the 800m he elected to try to maintain a position with cover, however was forced to race three wide throughout. He added that despite racing wide, the gelding was still disappointing in its overall performance. He also noted that the gelding may have come to the end of its current preparation.
