Bumped shortly after the start. Raced three wide without cover for the entire race. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, apprentice N. Fazackerley advised that instructions given were to have the gelding settle in a midfield position if possible, however after travelling a short distance and being caught in a three wide position without cover, he was unable to settle the gelding and therefore allowed it to stride forward without pressure before obtaining a position three wide joint leader passing the 900m.
