When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, Apprentice said that after beginning well, in the early stages he was unable to hold his position when horses raced forward of him, and that the filly failed to travel well throughout and was under pressure from the home turn. A swab sample was collected. Trainer advised that the filly will now be spelled and may leave her stable.
