Dipped on jumping, then raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Rider questioned regarding disappointing performance stated that in early stages he intended to go forward and take a position outside the leader, however his mount did not respond to his riding. Post-race veterinary examination revealed gelding had mild case of the thumps.
