With regard to the improved performance, Trainer C Dore reported that the gelding’s previous start was first up over a shorter distance and from a wide barrier. While it’s training and feeding regime had not altered, Mrs Dore was of the opinion that the step up to 1300m and able to ridden with cover contributed to the improved performance.
