Bucked shortly after the start and dislodged its rider. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was mildly lame in the off fore, abrasions to the near fore and had a cut to its mouth. Trainer A. Stephens was advised that the gelding must perform satisfactorily in two barrier jump-outs in race gear over at least 800 metres before being permitted to race again.
