Reared as the start was effected, dislodged its rider in the gates and took no part in the race. Trainer Mr T. Cook was advised that prior to a future race start WAUSIWI would be required to gain a barrier certificate and the results of a veterinary clearance must be furnished to stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slight laceration to the filly’s nearside nostril.
